The world’s first ‘lickable’ elevator, what a nightclub looks like the morning after, how a TV channel brought drama to a small town, celebrating music with Record Store Day and finding your ‘music moment’
Welcome to this week’s edition of Splendid Loves. This week across the globe our team’s have uncovered the world’s first ‘lickable’ elevator, discovered what a nightclub looks like the morning after and have identified how a new TV channel brought drama to a small town in Belgium. We are also celebrating Record Store Day - A fantastic initiative to support record stores across the UK and have uncovered our ‘Music Moment’.
World’s First ‘Lickable’ Elevator

Inspired by Roald Dahl’s ‘Willy Wonka’, an office elevator at London-based communications company Engine was covered in 1,325 lickable Jaffa Cakes - you could say it was a ‘tasteful’ alternative to a regular elevator.
@margotduchowny in our NY Office is impressed by the lengths this agency has gone to, to satisfy their employee’s sugar cravings!

A Dramatic Surprise On A Quiet Square

@elenitoskas and @annalisebrown in our Sydney office love this great stunt idea from Belgium to launch the high quality TV channel TNT. A big red button with the sign “Push to add drama” was placed in an average town inviting locals to push the button to then see what happened…

Vinyl Junkie

@neilshah23 in our London office is gearing up for this year’s Record Store Day on 21st April. The day sees record stores up and down the country offering limited releases from a range of artists from David Bowie to Florence + the Machine to Nicolas Jaar and a bunch of special instore performances. The day is centred at Rough Trade East, who will have even more exclusive releases, like Miles Davis…
In the age of the digital download, this is a great initiative to support independent record stores.
